This morning one of our Mapleview residents was exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, we rapid tested this resident and it came back positive.

Due to how quickly Omicron spreads we decided to do a rapid testing sweep of the rest of the home area and discovered 5 more resident cases.

If your loved one is one of the positive residents you will be notified.

This places us into an outbreak on the Mapleview home area due to 6 resident cases. All of the residents have been isolated to their rooms under airborne precautions.

The following visiting restrictions are in effect;

  • General visits and leaves of absences are suspended
    • Exceptions can be made for medical or compassionate purposes, if you are requesting an exception please contact me
  • 1 EFC at a time is able to visit
    • EFC’s must visit in the residents room
    • EFC’s must wear full PPE (1870+ N95 mask, gown, gloves and eye protection)
    • If an EFC requires a support person for their visit (i.e: someone to drive them), then both individuals are able to visit.

Please pray for the residents and staff of Mapleview, and that the outbreak will be over quickly.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
Celeste Pols, Director of Resident Care
