As of today, June 14, the Orchards home area of Shalom Manor has been declared to be in an outbreak. This is as a result of a resident case, this resident contracted COVID-19 following contact with their Essential Family Caregiver. There is evidence of spread to staff but not to any other residents.
All of the Orchards residents are isolated to their rooms under droplet/contact precautions, the rest of the facility is in heightened surveillance- meaning residents will be monitored closely for symptoms, but isolation is not required.
Leaves of absences for non-essential purposes are suspended for Shalom Manor, patio visits will continue with the exception of the Orchards home area. Please pray for Shalom during this time, and pray that those who are sick recover well from their COVID-19 infection.
