We were informed today, June 15th that a contracted service provider has tested positive for COVID-19. This provider worked in Mapleview, Sunrise Court, and Terraceview home areas during their infectious period. All POA’s have been contacted of those residents that have had contact with this individual.

The affected residents have been placed in their rooms and anyone entering the room must wear an N95 mask, eye protection, gown and gloves. Essential Family Caregivers (EFCs) are still able to come in, however, if you are an EFC for one of the residents who has been placed in isolation you must be fit tested for an N95 mask before you can provide essential caregiving support to your loved one. Fit testing is offered Monday through Friday from 8am-3:45pm. If you need to book an appointment please contact Bernice Robson at admissioncoordinator@shalommanor.mystagingwebsite.com

The positive individual had no contact with the positive resident on Orchards, however, the Chief Medical Officer of Health has linked this most recent case with the Orchards case- meaning Shalom Manor has been placed in an entire facility outbreak. Absences remain suspended for Shalom Manor, but not for Shalom Gardens.
