Admissions/Tours

The admission of residents to Shalom Gardens is coordinated by the Gardens Care Coordinator and the Admissions Coordinator. Shalom offers a one bedroom with a living room, 3 piece bathroom, full kitchen, and a balcony off the living room.

Shalom Gardens is unique in that we are a Christian home with firm roots tied to the Dutch community, the Christian Reformed Church and other Reformed Christian denominations.

Pets

Pets are not permitted to be kept in the apartments due to the varying needs of our residents. Pets are welcome to visit provided they are friendly, well behaved, vaccinated and supervised. All pet owners must complete and submit the Animal Record & Disclaimer and provide a copy of the animal’s current immunization record prior to the animal visiting the Home. The form can be obtained from the Receptionist during regular business hours. Animals must be secured and under the control of the pet owner at all times. Animals are not permitted in any area where food is consumed or prepared.

Smoking Policy

Shalom Gardens endorses a smoke-free environment. No smoking is permitted indoors. Residents, staff or visitors who wish to smoke must do so outdoors at least nine (9) metres from any entrance/exit door. No smoking is permitted on any balconies, terraces or in the courtyard.
