Dear Mapleview families,

Yesterday we had two residents test positive for COVID-19 and as such Public Health has declared an outbreak for the Mapleview home area.

Several other residents who have symptoms have been placed into isolation while we wait for their test results.

Group activities, and communal dining are continuing on the home area for all other residents on Mapleview.

Mapleview residents are unable to socialize with residents from other home areas at this time, and will not attend programming where other home areas are present.

Visitors continue to be permitted for Mapleview. We ask that you limit visits to two family members at this time and that young children avoid visiting until the outbreak is over.

Visitors of those in isolation must where appropriate PPE as  identified on the signage outside the residents door. All non-essential Leaves of Absence (LOA’s) are suspended for Mapleview until the outbreak is declared over. Medical appointments that are not a priority should be canceled or rescheduled.

Since the rest of the home is on heightened surveillance, please only visit one home area per visit to Shalom.

Please do not visit Shalom if you have any cold, flu or other respiratory symptoms!

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
