Today I am happy to report that we are out of outbreak in Shalom Manor! Which is 4 days earlier than expected! The Gardens outbreak is still pending, however most outbreak restrictions have been removed.
The following update applies to the Manor and the Gardens:
Visiting and leaves of absences may resume. Each resident may have up to 4 people visiting at a time (including EFC’s).
Everyone must wear their mask for the entirety of their visit, non-compliance with the masking policy of the home will result in you being asked to leave.
Testing: The booking website for general visitors has been re-activated. All visitors and EFC’s will be swabbed upon each entry to the home, regardless of vaccination status. This will be re-assessed in one weeks’ time.
LOA’s: If you wish to take your loved one on a non-essential leave of absence (LOA) you must request this by emailing drc@shalommanor.mystagingwebsite.com (Manor) or carecoordgardens@shalommanor.mystagingwebsite.com (Gardens) at least one business day in advance of the LOA.
Isolation may be required based on where the resident is going for the LOA, and how many people will be present. Isolating for higher risk LOA’s remains necessary due to high community transmission post Easter. One resident testing positive places other residents in their rooms, and we want to avoid this.
